WeMoveOn is a Venice start-up. In 2019 its "Accessible Cities" project won a prize at the Accessible Tourism Challenge sponsored by FactorYmpresa Turismo. Since 2020, WeMoveOn has promoted accessible design and developed inclusive ICT technologies and services. It focuses on the needs of people with motor and sensory disabilities, the elderly as well as parents with strollers/pushchairs. The team is made up of IT software developers, architects and urban planners specializing in accessibility. We work with public bodies and companies to research and develop innovative accessibility solutions.
The story behind WeMoveOn
We came together around a table with a shared passion and a common goal: to make every city more accessible and people's lives more inclusive. Together with Piersilvestro, Alice, and Riccardo, we were placed among the top 20 start-ups in the 2019 Invitalia Factory Impresa “Accessible" competition. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we created the "Wise&Safe" app to promote those venues in Venice and Mestre which were known to be adhering to COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
